Introduction

MICROSOFT EXCEL is spreadsheet. It's used to make calculations, create chart and drawing etc, A EXCEL document is named workbook and extension of this file is .xls. Workbook contains default a three worksheets. Minimum number of a worksheets in a Workbook is one (1).

Worksheet contains a columns and rows. The intersection of a row and a column is called a cell . Data is entered in the cell.

Data types:

  • NUMERIC/
  • TEXT/
  • DATA and TIME
  • LOGICAL VALUE

A EXCEL button in the Task bar appears when the Excel window is opened  . The Excel button will disappear when the Excel window is closed.
