Opening and closing EXCEL

Opening EXCEL can be done in a few ways. When opening the, it also opens the MICRISOFT EXCEL window in the TASK BAR, and also opens the APPLICATION BUTTON. When closing the EXCEL window the APPLICATION BUTTON disappears from the TASK BAR.

Like all other MICROSOFT OFFICE programs, it can be opened from the START menu, icons, documents,etc. More about this, as well as how to close EXCEL, you can find in these animations:

Open Microsoft Excel window

•    Starting Excel using the Microsoft Office submenu
•    Starting Excel using the Windows Start menu
•    Starting Excel using a shortcut application icon

Close MICROSOFT EXCEL window

•    Closing: CONTROL menu - CLOSE item
•    Closing:CONTROL button - DOUBLE CLICK
•    Closing: FILE menu EXIT item

•    Closing: SHORTCUT menu APPLICATION BUTTON - CLOSE item
