Printing out a formula begins with the equals sign = .

Typing the expression directly in the cell (e.g. =2+3), steps:

  1. Select the cell (e.g. C3).
  2. On the keyboard select the equals sign =, the beginning of the arithmetic expression.
  3. Type in the arithmetic expression (e.g. =2+3).
  4. EXCEL recognises the ENTER button as the end of the expression, then it calculates the result and prints it out on the screen.
  5. EXCEL will print out only the value of the result, and the cell with the formula will show the expression.
  6. The end (Kraj).
