6.2 BASEBALL GAME
Reading and vocabulary
There is an interesting baseball game at school on Saturday. Mike and Dave are going to the game, because their friend Steve is a member of the school team.
Mike: Dave, are you going to the game on Saturday?
Dave: Yes. Will you be there, too?
Mike: Yes, I will.
Dave: And how about our friends Lisa, Kate, Maggie? Will they go, too?
Mike: No, they will not.
Dave: It's a pity. Will your dad take us there, just like last year?
Mike: Yes, he will. We will pick you up at a quarter past nine.
Dave: Wonderful. Thank you so much. Will we be there in time?
Mike: Yes, we will. We will be there at a quarter to ten.
Dave: Cool. Will they serve any food? I always buy a hot dog when I watch a baseball game.
Mike: Yes, they will. But I don't like hot dogs. I will buy some pretzels and soda.
Dave: That's a good idea. I will buy some pretzels, too.
Mike: And I will get some chips.
Mike's father: Guys, why don't you get some fruit? It's better to eat fruit than junk food.
Mike: Oh, dad, you don't understand baseball...
